Mineral resource estimation
AGP will unlock the value of client projects with our geologists who have extensive experience in exploration, operations, database management, and resource estimation. AGP takes your project from grass-roots exploration through the feasibility study stage and into production.

Conceptual Studies - Desktop/Order of Magnitude
Conceptual/Strategic studies are conducted early in the project life cycle to assist exploration strategy and to identify fatal flaws and development opportunities. These studies are typically used to support the decision to progress to Preliminary Economic Assessment. Order of Magnitude (+/-50%) estimating accuracy is typical for this level of study

43-101 Technical Reports
A
GP is committed to supporting the mining industry and providing expertise on front-end studies and within the public report of exploration results, mineral resources and mineral reserves, AGP provides the qualified expertise of NI 43-101 compliant reports.

Through a codified set of rules and guidelines for reporting and displaying information related to mineral properties owned by, or explored by companies that report these results on stock exchanges within Canada, the Instrument regulates what and how this information is made available to the public.  NI 43-101 is a national instrument for the Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects within Canada; these include news releases of mineral exploration reports, reporting of resources and reserves, and others that provide the results of metalliferous, precious metals and solid energy commodities as well as bulk minerals, dimension stone, precious stones and mineral sands commodities.

AGP in its trajectory as a mining consultant company, with the backup of its competent Qualified Persons with many years of experience, provide the expertise necessary to complete compliant NI 43-101 reports.

43-101 Preliminary Economic Estimates
The Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) is a scoping-level study which relies on information from disciplines such as geotechnical, environmental, infrastructure and markets in addition to the core inputs from mining, geology and metallurgy. Capital and operating cost estimates for the project will typically be estimated to +/-30%.

AGP’s engineers and geologists have many years experience in the completion of Preliminary Economic Estimates and will typically develop cost estimates to the required accuracy by obtaining vendor budget quotations in addition to using data factored from recent projects and/or operational assignments.

Preliminary Feasibility Studies
The Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) develops the concepts and work completed in scoping-level studies, examines necessary trade-offs or optimizations, and may progress resources into reserves. Multi-disciplinary technical teams will improve the accuracy of capital estimates through the completion of additional engineering. Disciplines such as geotechnical, environmental, infrastructure and markets are utilized in addition to the core inputs from mining, geology and metallurgy. Capital and operating cost estimates for the project will typically be estimated to 20-25% overall accuracy.

AGP’s engineers and geologists have experience in the completion of Pre-Feasibility Studies and can manage the resources required for such work. Associate engineering companies such as DRA Americas, Porcupine Engineering Services and BGC Engineering are utilised to complement AGP’s core skills.

Feasibility Studies
The Feasibility Study takes the conclusions of the PFS forward to a level of accuracy of typically 10-15% overall. It builds upon trade-off studies completed in the PFS to the final design. Detailed estimates are developed with multiple vendor quotations, and a focus on constructability and schedule. All disciplines including geotechnical, geology, mining, metallurgy, process design, environmental, infrastructure and product marketing work together to achieve the final design requirements. This level of study lends itself directly to Basic Engineering.

Completion of successful Feasibility Studies are part of AGP's experience base. We are also quite happy to work as an integral part of a larger technical team on larger, more complex Feasibility Studies.

Underground Mine Design
The underground design team at AGP brings years of practical mine operating experience together with the latest in mine software. This ensures operational issues and concepts are considered from the earliest stage of a project to ensure project success. Various mining methods are considered in conjunction with the client to arrive at a design that meets or exceeds their expectations. Quick designs through to Feasibility Studies, bank evaluations or even operational support cover the range of experience that AGP's engineers and geologists can draw upon to assist our clients.

Open Pit Mine Design
Open pit design represents another method of extraction of which AGP’s engineers have significant experience. This may be a small open pit using construction equipment for a high grade gold mine in Far East Russia to the design of world class open pits using the world's largest equipment in the high altitudes of South America. The heat of a desert or the cold of Nunavut with permafrost conditions are all considered in the practical designs developed. Designs are created to enhance project economics while considering the environments in which they exist.

Pit design makes use of specialized software incorporating the Lerch-Grossman pit shell routine. From these designs, accurate cost estimation follows; both operating and capital. These designs are then compared to ensure the most economic design is advanced forward in any project.

AGP's engineers delight in working with client teams to arrive at the best functional design for a specific project, irrespective of commodity.

Metallurgical Process Development
AGP’s Metallurgical Engineers can assist mining companies with a range of services, from metallurgical sample selection and testwork program management/supervision to flowsheet development and process plant design. Acting as owner representative, our engineers strive to ensure suitable test programs are conducted on appropriate metallurgical samples and the maximum value is extracted by the process at any given time. Our team has the experience to interpret available testwork results and to provide the financial team with process plant performance predictions.

AGP has the experience necessary to develop process engineering packages for studies and projects. Our close association with Dowding Reynard and Associates, allows seamless transition into detailed plant design, construction, commissioning and start-up assistance.

AGP has access to a pool of metallurgical resources with experience in almost every mineral, particularly base metals, coal, diamonds and precious metals. Recent/ongoing metallurgical programs are located around the globe and include gold, copper/gold, copper/molybdenum, vanadium, nickel and copper/lead/zinc.

Due Diligence / Mine Audits
AGP’s engineers have a great deal of operations management experience and many have worked with financial institutions and/or corporate entities to review and assess the economics of both projects and existing mine operations.

Decision Support / Owner’s Team Advisory Work
In an age where talent and experience in the mining industry are in short supply, AGP can offer management, operations and planning personnel to support in a variety of technical areas:

Production Planning
Mining Design
Equipment Selection
Process Plant Optimisation
Metal Accounting and Production Reconciliations
Commodity Market Assistance

Many of our engineers have over 20 years practical experience in operations and design environments around the globe, while some also have Six-Sigma experience to aid the decision-making process. We are most happy when able to work together with a client's team to develop practical solutions to the problems that constantly challenge organizations.

Project Management
AGP’s engineers are adept at managing projects. Our team includes Project Management specialists who use collaborative tools to effectively communicate schedule and budget tracking information across distributed teams.
